My Goal

I have decided to set a rather lofty goal for myself: I want to run a full or half marathon in all 50 states by July 24, 2027, the day I turn 50, and along the way I hope to raise $50,000 to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystropy (DMD). That's just under $3,000 I'll need to raise every year, or just over $1000 per race, to make it to my goal. This may seem like a daunting task, but it's NOTHING compared to the task ahead of those suffering from this disease and their families.

In the past I have run as a member of Team in Training and have raised over $10,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma research since my first half marathon in 2003. However, I have decided that I will spend the next 17 years running and raising money for one cause - finding a cure for DMD.
